Our campaign for Data.org, Under/Over, breaks down underrepresented individuals’ overlooked stories. We sought out and interviewed women using data for social impact, then brought their stories to life through an animated series of videos. We wove in data about our heroes’ work, their own stories, and the issues they’re tackling in their communities – gender inequality, feminicide, and maternal mortality. My copywriter partner Hayley Meyer and I concepted, scripted, edited, interviewed, and directed the series. Our wonderful colleague Ilana Rossein produced it alongside the phenomenal Paula Kweskin at The 49%. The talented team at The 49% and The Hive Studio illustrated and animated the stories.
